Butterfly Count

Butterfly enthusiasts can join in the hunt to find, identify, and tally these beautiful insects that we often see and seldom know.

Pre-registration taken until the day of the count.
Fee: $5

Butterfly enthusiasts 12 and up are invited to participate in the North American Butterfly Association's (NABA) 4th of July Butterfly Count. Training will be provided in the morning and we will take to the Wehr trails with binoculars until lunchtime. You are welcome to come to satellite park locations in the afternoon. Choose either a half or whole day to count. No experience is necessary. Butterfly records are added to the 4th of July Butterfly count records at www.naba.org.
