Wehr Nature Center will host MPM’s 6th Annual BioBlitz, a 24-hour celebration of biodiversity where scientists work together to see how many species of plants and animals they can find in one area. Learn more about MPM’s BioBlitz.
While the scientists are in the field, join us for fun during the BioBlitz. Wehr Nature Center Staff will lead in-person programs for the public. Public programs are free. Some programs have advance registration. Click the links below for more info on each program and to register.
Friday, June 18: Bat Night for Families, 9:00-10:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 19: Bumble Bees of Your Backyard Hike, 9:00-10:00 a.m.; Up Close with a Scientist, 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.; Bird Watching Basics for Kids, 2:00-3:00 p.m.; Moth Night for Families, 8:30-10:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 20: Bird Hike, 7:30-9:00 a.m.; Butterfly Monitoring Hike, 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Monday, June 21: Phenology Hike, 8:00-9:00 a.m.
