Nature’s Neighborhoods

Sunday, June 20, 1-2:30 pm

Every animal needs food, water, shelter, and space to survive. Families can join a naturalist to explore the natural neighborhoods that provide habitat for critters at Wehr. You will go on a scavenger hunt to our grassland, forest, and wetland to discover how they provide habitat for a diversity of animals.

Make Wehr part of your family time. Friends of Wehr members at the family level can join a naturalist for a free, monthly themed discovery walk along Wehr’s trails. Each program will feature a short, socially distanced introductory activity held outdoors in our amphitheater followed by a guided nature walk. Space is limited due to the pandemic and pre-registration is required, so plan ahead so you don’t miss the fun!

Important Program Details:

  • All participants ages three and older are required to wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth throughout the program.
  • These programs are appropriate for children ages 5 years and older. Younger siblings are welcome if able to walk with the group or ride in a backpack (not all trails are stroller friendly).
  • Inclement weather will cancel the program.
  • Register early to guarantee a spot; same day registration permitted if space allows.
