If you’ve walked Wehr’s Lake Loop trail recently, you’ve noticed a lot of brush and trees have been removed along our boardwalk on the south side of Mallard Lake. This area is part of a 1.25-acre restoration effort started in September 2024. This much-needed project is funded by grants from the Natural Resource Foundation (NRF) of Wisconsin’s C.D. Besadny Conservation Fund and the Southeast Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium (SEWISC) Assistance Program.
