Emily Jane Laak-Loeding
Emily is thrilled to join the Friends of Wehr Board and brings a background in database management, development, and donor relations through an equitable and inclusive lens. She has a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from UW-Milwaukee and works for the State of Wisconsin's Equal Rights Division. Emily grew up around Milwaukee County with a passion for nature, environmental protection and conservation instilled in her from a young age. She enjoys travel with her husband, often planned around natural landscapes, hiking trails, birds and other wildlife. She also likes to visit as many state and county parks throughout Wisconsin as she can. Wehr has been an important place for her and her family and she is always excited to introduce it to friends and loved ones. She lives in Greenfield with her husband and pets. She can regularly be spotted out around the Milwaukee community and often has at least one of her many nieces and/or nephews in tow.
Friends of Wehr is a 2000+ member organization with over 300 active volunteers dedicated to sustaining and advocating for Wehr Nature Center.
