Maple Tapping Workshop

Learn how to turn your backyard maple tree into liquid gold from our expert sugar makers. We’ll cover how to identify a suitable tree, the tools and tricks of drilling and tapping, how to safely store and boil-down sap, and the process of “finishing off” and storing syrup. You’ll even sample delicious syrup on pancakes! Tapping kits will be available for purchase at the Friends of Wehr Nature Store for an additional fee.
